ABC used the TCA press tour to announce that their quest for “love” will continue on the network. The Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise have both been renewed for new seasons that will premiere in 2020.
The Bachelorette, renewed for Season 16, just wrapped its most recent season last week. The finale featuring the conclusion of Hannah Brown’s quest for love had her picking one contestant, Jed Wyatt, only to find out after taping that he may or may not have had a girlfriend back home. She dumped Wyatt during the live finale special and then asked the runner-up, Tyler Cameron, out on a date. The two were spotted together after an overnight visit but Cameron has now been seen with Gigi Hadid so the show probably worked out better for him than Hannah. All of this drama is probably why the finale had the show’s highest-rated telecast in two years.
Bachelor In Paradise, which premiered its sixth season on Monday, led its Monday time slot last summer and was No. 1 in the key demos on the night; its Tuesday edition was No. 1 in women 18-34.
In case you were wondering about The Bachelor, ABC previously announced that the one that started all this madness will be back for SEASON 24?!? in 2020.
