The 355 Shifts To January 2022

As 2020 comes to a close, the movie calendar continues to shift as Simon Kinberg’s The 355, was meant to be released during Martin Luther King weekend 2021 but has since been moved to Martin Luther King weekend, January 14, 2022.

The reason for the drastic release date move is rumored to be based on Universal’s hope that The 355  has franchise potential, and do not want the current theater closures to stand in the way of that. With its new date now set, the film will go up against Warner Bros./MGM’s Sesame Street movie, Paramount/Spyglass’s reboot of Scream, and 20th Century Studios’ animated movie Nimona.

The 355 stars Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong’o, Diane Kruger, Penélope Cruz, Bingbing Fan, Édgar Ramirez, and Sebastian Stanamong.
