Tenet May Not Be Heading To Your Local Drive-In Theater

As someone that’s been looking forward to Tenet for quite a while, this news is quite a bummer. The highly anticipated sci-fi epic, may not be releasing in a drive-in theater near you.

It’s been revealed that Warners. will not be releasing the film in Drive-In’s in areas the film will not release in indoor theaters. As first reported by Variety, it’s part of the continuing effort to keep the film’s complicated plot and surprises under wraps.

Exhibitors were also told that Warner Bros. wants to keep the film from areas where traditional venues are still shuttered in order to help preserve the twists and turns of the plot, which has been shrouded in secrecy. I find that reason illogical as the film is likely to be pirated by the end of the weekend.
