New York Comic-Con attendees were treated with a new trailer for the CBS All Access series Star Trek: Picard and they got to see a fresh look at the series which featured familiar faces and a release date.
Patrick Stewart returns to the franchise after beginning his run as Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation. We’ll be able to see his return when the series premieres on January 23, 2020.
The new trailer also offers a better sense of the story, which pulls Stewart’s Jean-Luc Picard out of retirement to save the day. He’ll cross paths with a number of old friends along the way which includes Brent Spiner’s Data, Marina Sartis’ Deanna Troi and Jonathan Frakes’ Commander William Riker; Voyager’s Seven of Nine, played by Jeri Ryan, also returns for the series.
Star Trek: Picard begins its 10-episode run on CBS All Access on January 23rd, 2020.
