The coronavirus pandemic has led to many cancellations of not only films but festivals as well. With the growing number of cancelations, Stage 32 is taking the initiative to screen films impacted by the mass festival cancellations. The platform is kicking off Stage 32 Screenings, which will assist in being able to screen movies and connect filmmakers to potential studios and buyers of the films.
CEO Richard Botto stated, “Stage 32 Screenings was born out of a need to help filmmakers impacted by global festival cancellations to play their films to our vast network of executives and professionals. If we’re truthful, we have no idea when festivals will begin ramping up again, and these filmmakers have created incredible films that deserve to be seen. The outpouring of support to Stage 32 Screenings has been overwhelming. In these uncertain times, we’re thrilled to be offering these filmmakers some solace and our professionals an opportunity to keep their business running.”
Filmmakers that are interested in submitting their films have two options. They can choose between screening their films publicly to over 600,000 members worldwide or privately to a small group. Stage 32 Screenings begin today.
