Lionsgate has released the first trailer for the Saw reboot Spiral: From the Book of Saw, and it features Chris Rock as a cop investigating a case that may seem similar in style to most Saw fans out there.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw comes from a story by Chris Rock and it revolves around a police detective investigating a series of grizzly crimes. This new installment features new amped-up treacherous traps, clever clues, and edge-of-the-seat suspense, that may seem strange coming from the mind of Chris Rock but he’s a self-proclaimed huge fan of the franchise so maybe his take might surprise most horror fans out there.
The film also stars Samuel L. Jackson, as Rock’s father, Max Minghella & Marisol Nichols while Darren Lynn Bousman is helming the project. Bousman previously directed three of the most successful films of the Saw franchise. The screenplay is based on a story conceived by Rock and written by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg.
