Disney and Pixar have released a teaser trailer for their next film, Soul, which features the vocal talent of Jamie Foxx & Tina Fey.
In the film, it appears that souls are refined before being sent off to human bodies. We see Foxx’s middle-school teacher Joe Gardner in human animated form before he takes a big fall through a manhole and reappears as a greenish-blue ghost. This is when he meets 22, a smaller ghosty figure voiced by Fey. Both ponder what they “want to be remembered for.”
Not too much revealed in the teaser but Pixar hasn’t steered us wrong yet so this should be another winner for the brand.
Soul, directed Pete Docter and co-directed by Kemp Powers, hits screens on June 19, 2020.
