Sony’s Uncharted Film Stops Production

Sony joins the list of film studios that are pausing filming on a major movie, as it halts pre-production on Uncharted for six weeks. The upcoming video game adaptation was set to begin shooting next month in Berlin; however, because of the coronavirus pandemic, it was decided for the safety of the crew to delay the shoot indefinitely.

It has yet to be reported if the delay will push back their March 5, 2021, release date.

Uncharted stars Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Antonio Banderas, Tati Gabrielle, and Sophia Ali, with Ruben Fleischer, who directed Venom at the helm. The film will follow Nathan Drake, a treasure hunter who journeys across the world to uncover various historical mysteries. It hasn’t yet been revealed who Banderas, Ali, and Gabrielle will be playing in the film.
