Shirley MacLaine to Receive Los Angeles Film Critics’ Achievement Award

The Los Angeles Film Critics Association will honor Shirley MacLaine with the career achievement award at their annual dinner on January 14th. MacLaine is best known for her roles in The ApartmentSteel MagnoliasSweet Charity, including her Oscar-winning performance in Terms of Endearment in 1984.

“I’m thrilled with the honor by the Los Angeles Film Critics Assn., the recognition and the encouragement,” MacLaine said in a statement.

Additionally, MacLaine has been honored by the American Film Insitute and the Kennedy Center for her lifetime contributions to America culture in 2013.
