The DC property, Shazam, has proven to be hot enough to be split into two movies. The other part of the picture, Black Adam, is set to star Dwayne Johnson.
Plans were announced to turn Shazam into a film back in 2014 with Johnson attached but after a meeting recently with one of the biggest stars on the planet it was decided to add a spinoff film to the universe that will focus on Johnson’s character.
The DC comics character Shazam is the alter ego of a boy named Billy Baston. By saying the word “Shazam”, Baston can transform into a superhero. Black Adam is Shazam’s arch nemesis, and is a character that Johnson has been circling for some time.
