Scandal Series Finale Ends On A High

The Gladiators showed up for the series finale of Scandal, which ended on a high note for ABC.

The show scored a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demo and 5.43 million viewers, its best showing since Feb. 1 (a span of eight episodes). The series also tied its best 18-49 demo of the season. Grey’s Anatomy (1.6, 6.89 million viewers) was even with last week’s fast nationals (it adjusted up in the finals), and Station 19 rose a tenth of a point to a 1.1 demo rating and 5.45 million viewers, helping ABC finish within a few hundredths of a point of CBS on the night.

On CBS, The Big Bang Theory (2.4, 12.60 million viewers) had the night’s best numbers, as usual, rising a tenth from last week’s early ratings (it adjusted up in the finals). Life in Pieces slipped a tenth to a 1.0 demo score and 6.30 million viewers, while the rest of CBS’ lineup held steady week to week: Young Sheldon (1.9, 11.40 million viewers), Mom (1.4, 8.81 million viewers), & SWAT (0.9, 5.35 million viewers).

On NBC, all of their shows were steady week to week: Superstore (0.8, 2.85 million viewers), AP Bio (0.6, 1.94 million viewers), Champions (0.4, 1.66 million viewers) and Chicago Fire (1.0, 5.24 million viewers).

On The CW,  the network was pre-empted by the baseball game so these numbers could change but currently Supernatural is at a 0.6 demo rating and 1.81 million viewers while Arrow is steady at a 0.4 demo rating and 1.33 million viewers.

On FOX, Gotham dipped a tenth of a point to a 0.6 demo rating and 2.19 million viewers.
