I feel like the TGIT Gods have wanted this to happen for awhile now but it seems fitting that this will happen before Scandal wraps up its final season on ABC. Scandal, along with another Shondaland favorite, How To Get Away Murder, will be crossing over later this season.
The network and producers of both series were being a bit mum on the details but the star of Scandal, Kerry Washington, posted a photo of herself as her character Olivia Pope on the set of HTGAWM seen here:
Viola David then followed suit and provided us with another clue pointing to a crossover with Scandal. The Emmy-winning actress replied to Washington’s “Where are you?” question by posting a photo of her as Annalise Keating on the set of Scandal seen here:
Stars of the TGIT shows, which also includes Grey’s Anatomy, have frequently done publicity together for ABC but the shows have never collided on screen. Out of all of them currently on air, this union makes the most sense and should be a big rating winner for the network.
The TGIT lineup returns with all new episodes on January 18.
