Sarah Drew & Jessica Capshaw To Exit Grey’s Anatomy

Two of Grey’s doctors are hanging up their scrubs. Sarah Drew & Jessica Capshaw are exiting the series at the end of season 14. The actresses have been with the series for 10 & 9 seasons, respectively.

Co-showrunner & executive producer, Krista Vernoff, had this to say about their departure:

“The characters of Arizona and April are permanently woven into the fabric of Grey’s Anatomy thanks to the extraordinary work of Jessica Capshaw and Sarah Drew. As writers, our job is to follow the stories where they want to go and sometimes that means saying goodbye to characters we love. It has been a joy and a privilege to work with these phenomenally talented actresses.”

The exits seem storyline dictated and as of this writing, the actresses have not commented on the news of their departure.
