Samuel L. Jackson is returning as Nick Fury! It has been announced that he will return in a new Marvel series currently in development at Disney+.
The exact plot details of the show are being kept under wraps but “Variety” is reporting that Jackson is attached to star with Kyle Bradstreet attached to write and executive produce the project. Jackson has portrayed Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe going back to the post-credits scene in the first Iron Man film in 2008. He has appeared in multiple films within the MCU since, most recently portraying Fury in Spider-Man: Far from Home, Avengers: Endgame, and Captain Marvel. He also played the character in two episodes of the ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The Nick Fury series is just the recent addition to Marvel Studios’ slate of upcoming series for Disney+. WandaVision is on the way first in November while The Falcon and The Winter Solider is expected to premiere in the spring of 2021. Also on deck is Loki, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Moon Knight. It’s unclear what stage of production Loki is in while She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel has already cast its leads and has directors at the helm. Moon Knight is still in the development stage.
