Roswell, New Mexico Has Solid Debut On The CW On Tuesday Night

The CW has had decent success rebooting former WB supernatural drama, Charmed, and now it appears that bringing back Roswell is continuing that trend.

On The CW, Roswell, New Mexico opened with a 0.4 in adults 18-49, matching the season high for Black Lightning in the 9 PM time slot. The premiere had 1.54 million viewers, retaining better than 90 percent of the viewers from lead-in The Flash and coming in just behind Charmed (1.57 million viewers) for the biggest total audience for a new CW series this season. The Flash returned with a 0.6 and 1.68 million viewers, off a little from its most recent episode.

On NBC, This Is Us earned a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49 and 7.70 million viewers, even with the early numbers for its last episode of the fall (it adjusted up in the finals). NBC led every hour of primetime in the 18-49 demo; Ellen’s Game of Games (1.7, 6.35 million viewers) and New Amsterdam (1.0, 5.67 million viewers). Games improved slightly on last week’s numbers while Amsterdam was even.

On ABC, The Conners (1.3, -0.1, 6.65 million viewers) and The Kids Are Alright (0.8, -0.2, 4.26 million viewers) slipped a little bit week to week while Black-ish (0.8, 3.33 million viewers) and Splitting Up Together (0.7, 2.64 million viewers) held steady. The Rookie (0.7, +0.1, 3.81 million viewers) improved a bit week to week.

On CBS,  NCIS (12.1 million viewers, 1.3 in the 18-49 demo), FBI (9.33 million viewers, 1.0) and NCIS: New Orleans (7.26 million viewers, 0.8) topped all of primetime in total viewers on Tuesday night. In the key demo, NCIS was up week to week while the rest of the lineup matched their previous demo numbers.

On FOX, Lethal Weapon held at a 0.7 demo rating and 3.20 million viewers, but The Gifted dipped a bit to a 0.5 score and 1.68 million viewers.
