New Line has finally set a release date for Rampage, the upcoming video game-based film starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. It hits theaters on April 20, 2018.
No word on who Johnson will play yet nor details on the storyline. The video game itself allows users to choose to play as either Lizzie, a lizard, George, a gorilla, or Ralph, a werewolf, all of whom were once humans before being experimented on and mutating into giant monsters. Our best guess is Johnson will play the gorilla. After choosing your role, you must fight your way through military forces almost reducing your targeted city before moving onto the next round.
