The CW has unveiled the season 3 promo for Riverdale and it features, GASP!, Archie behind bars!
The promo is packed with jaw-dropping reveals including Archie, who was falsely accused of murder at the end of season 2, spending at least some time in police custody this season. We also see him stewing behind bars and getting caught up in a prison riot.
The promo also hints that the season’s big mystery will revolve around the weirdo cult that Betty’s sister Polly has recruited her mom Alice into. We see those two holding up Polly’s twins in some kind of creepy ceremony, and Betty passing out cold mid-investigation, along with a True Detective-esque masked monster with tree branches and antlers.
Season 3 is looking like it’s going to be one crazy ride and we will all find out when it premieres Wednesday, October 10 at 8/7c on The CW.
