Reel TV Ratings: (Wednesday) – Modern Family Only Wednesday Show To Tick Up Week To Week

ABC’s Modern Family saw an increase from last week but it was in a club all by itself because all other Wednesday shows saw declines or were flat versus last week’s numbers.

On ABC, Modern Family drew a 1.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 5.50 million viewers, up 0.1 vs. a week ago. The Goldbergs (1.3, -0.1, 5.37 million viewers ), Alex, Inc. (0.9, -0.2, 3.83 million viewers) and American Housewife (1.2, -0.1, 4.64 million viewers) all fell from their last episodes, and Designated Survivor was even at a 0.7 demo rating and 3.87 million viewers.

On FOX, Empire led the 18-49 race for the night with a 1.7 demo rating and 5.52 million viewers, down three-tenths of a point from its return last week. Also on FOX, Star came down two tenths to a 1.3. demo rating and 4.30 million viewers.

On CBS, Criminal Minds slipped a tenth to a 1.0 demo rating and 5.87 million viewers.

On NBC, The Blacklist was steady with its last episode from three weeks ago with a 0.9 demo rating and 5.36 million viewers.

On The CW, Life Sentence matched its preliminary demo number of 0.2 and 444,000 viewers (it adjusted down in the finals).
