Reel TV Ratings: (Wednesday) – Life Sentence Premieres Soft On The CW

Lucy Hale returned to TV with her new series Life Sentence but it doesn’t seem like many fans of Pretty Little Liars tuned in.

All of ABC’s comedies improved a bit on last week’s below-average numbers. Speechless rose two tenths to a 1.2 demo rating and 4.38 million viewers, and The Goldbergs (1.4, 5.49 million viewers), Modern Family (1.4, 5.20 million viewers) and American Housewife (1.1, 4.21 million viewers) were all up a tenth. Designated Survivor stayed low at a 0.6 demo rating and 3.57 million viewers.

The X-Files (0.9, 3.45 million viewers) and 9-1-1 (1.6, 5.97 million viewers) were both up a tenth for FOX The latter was also, once again, the top scripted show of Wednesday night in the 18-49 demo.
