Lucy Hale returned to TV with her new series Life Sentence but it doesn’t seem like many fans of Pretty Little Liars tuned in.
The show debuted with a 0.3 rating among adults 18-49 and 760,000 viewers, a tenth of a point higher than the season average for Dynasty in the timeslot. Riverdale preceded it with a season-low 0.4 demo rating and 1.31 million viewers.
All of ABC’s comedies improved a bit on last week’s below-average numbers. Speechless rose two tenths to a 1.2 demo rating and 4.38 million viewers, and The Goldbergs (1.4, 5.49 million viewers), Modern Family (1.4, 5.20 million viewers) and American Housewife (1.1, 4.21 million viewers) were all up a tenth. Designated Survivor stayed low at a 0.6 demo rating and 3.57 million viewers.
The X-Files (0.9, 3.45 million viewers) and 9-1-1 (1.6, 5.97 million viewers) were both up a tenth for FOX The latter was also, once again, the top scripted show of Wednesday night in the 18-49 demo. All three of NBC’s dramas improved by 0.1 as well: The Blacklist (1.0, 5.79 million viewers), Law & Order: SVU (1.2, 5.76 million viewers) & Chicago PD (1.3, 6.83 million viewers).
On CBS, SEAL Team ticked up a tenth to a 0.9 demo rating and 6.14 million viewers, and Criminal Minds’ 0.9 demo score and 5.04 million viewers was off a tenth from its last episode.
