Reel TV Ratings: (Sunday) – 60 Minutes Scores Best Rating Since 2008 Due To Stormy Daniels Interview

A lot of viewers were clearly interested in what adult-film star Stormy Daniels had to say about her affair with Donald Trump. Her interview with Anderson Cooper allowed 60 Minutes to get its best numbers since 2008.

On CBS, 60 Minutes scored a 4.0 rating among adults 18-49 and better than 21 million viewers. The interview also boosted the other CBS shows with all of them up week to week: Instinct (1.4, 10.57 million viewers), NCIS: LA (1.0, 8.56 million viewers) and Madam Secretary (0.7, 6.54 million viewers).

On ABC, American Idol was fairly steady for ABC, dipping a tenth of a point from last week to a 1.7 demo rating and 7.38 million viewers. Deception was even with last week’s preliminary 0.8 demo rating and 4.01 million viewers (it adjusted down in the finals).

On FOX, The Simpsons (1.0, 2.14 million viewers) improved by 0.2 while Bob’s Burgers (0.8, 1.71 million viewers), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (0.9, 1.85 million viewers) and The Last Man on Earth (0.7, 1.60 million viewers) equaled their week-ago numbers. Family Guy fell a tenth to a 0.9 demo rating and 1.90 million viewers.

On NBC, Timeless was down 0.1 to a 0.6 demo score and 2.61 million viewers.
