Reel TV Ratings: (Friday) – The Exorcist Up As CBS Unsurprisingly Wins Friday

Friday’s numbers are back to normal without the World Series to cause much competition but CBS won yet another Friday as this night proves to be the steadiest of them all.

The Exorcist scored a 0.5 in the 18-49 demo and 1.54 million viewers for FOX, up a tenth of a point from its last episode. The series has hovered around this demo score since its premiere so that bodes well for the show in terms of it being steady. I’m guessing it’s renewal will be determined by if FOX has a better option to fill the slot next season.

Hawaii Five-0 (0.9, 8.51 million viewers) and Blue Bloods (0.9, 9.09 million viewers) tied to lead the night among scripted programming on CBS. The latter was even with last week, while Five-0 slipped a tenth from its last episode two weeks ago. MacGyver (0.8, 7.16 million viewers) was even with last week’s early numbers (it adjusted up in the finals) and also had its largest total audience of the season.

Blindspot matched the 0.7 demo score and 3.46 million viewers for its premiere last week on NBC. ABC’s Once Upon a Time (0.5, 2.36 million viewers) and Inhumans (0.5, 1.99 million viewers) and The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (0.2, 720,000 viewers) also held steady. Jane the Virgin was even with its preliminary 0.2 demo score and 700,000 viewers from a week ago;  although it adjusted up in the finals.

Can Friday continue to be steady? Check back next week for the Friday ratings recap!
