Reel TV Ratings: (Friday) – Blindspot Premiere Down On New Night But Steady With Season 2 Finale

Blindspot moved to its new Friday night home on NBC and while the premiere is down from the season 2 opener, it’s relatively steady with its season 2 finale.

The premiere brought in a 0.7 demo rating and 4.08 million viewers on NBC. This was down one-tenth from the 0.8 that its season 2 finale scored earlier this year but considering the move to Friday, which is usually a down night, the retention is impressive for the third season drama.

On ABC, Once Upon a Time held steady with a 0.5 demo score and 2.47 million viewers for the second week in a row, while Inhumans managed to tick up one-tenth from its previous 0.4 to a 0.5 demo rating and 2.13 million viewers this time around. Both Jane the Virgin (0.2, 600,000 viewers) and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (0.2, 610,000 viewers) maintained their previous demo scores once again on The CW as well.

Blue Bloods (0.9 demo rating, 8.12 million viewers) scored the second-highest spot of the night for scripted programing.  MacGyver rounded out CBS’ night with a 0.8 demo rating and 6.9 million viewers, the same as what it had scored last week.

The Exorcist didn’t air on FOX last night due to Game 3 of the World Series
