Netflix gives The Punisher a 2017 Release Date

Marvel’s Daredevil introduced The Punisher this past season and the character has become one of the most popular characters on the show. It was confirmed that he would be receiving his own Netflix original series. A post was made to Reddit yesterday that contained a screenshot from the Netflix app. The screenshot was of Netflix’s recently updated queue, which contained a new entry for Marvel’s The Punisher. The entry has 2017 listed as the release date, and contains a quick synopsis:

“After the murder of his family, Frank Castle is both haunted and hunted. In the criminal underworld, he’ll become known as The Punisher.”
