Reel Top 10: Film Musicals

The film musical was once a standard in Hollywood. From Top Hat to An American in Paris, musicals were the go to when one wanted to have a fun time at the movies. The genre has decreased on the big screen over the years in which musicals nowadays are mainly adaptations of broadway musicals like Rent and Les Misérables.

That’s all changed with La La Land, an original musical by director Damien Chazelle that pays homage to the musicals of the past. This week’s top 10 is my top 10 musicals.
