Prolific Actor Miguel Ferrer Passes Away At 61

Sad news to report today.  Actor Miguel Ferrer has passed away from complications from cancer. He was 61.

Ferrer had appeared in well over 100 film and television shows and was most recently on NCIS: Los Angeles. He was also a series regular on the long running series Crossing Jordan. One of his early breakout roles happens to be one of my favorites as the sleazy Bob Morton in Robocop.

Miguel Ferrer is the the son of Jose Ferrer and Rosemary Clooney , which makes him the cousin of George Clooney. His cousin released the following statement today:

“Today history will mark giant changes in our world, and lost to most will be that on the same day Miguel Ferrer lost his battle to throat cancer. But not lost to his family, Miguel made the world brighter and funnier and his passing is felt so deeply in our family that events of the day, (monumental events), pale in comparison. We love you, Miguel. We always will.”
