Price And Launch Date Confirmed For HBO Max

On Tuesday, Warner Media confirmed a $14.99 retail price for HBO Max when it launches in the U.S. in May 2020. With the price of Disney+ and AppleTV+, two of the most anticipated details regarding the upcoming streaming service were its release date and price, which was revealed during its investor day on the Warner Bros lot.

Along with new customers, existing HBO subscribers and about 10 million AT&T customers will get the new service for free, which will give it an eight-figure start in the race to close the gap with Netflix.

Warner Media has been projecting a spring launch for the past few months, ever since postponing an earlier plan to release a beta version in fall 2019.
