Patty Jenkins Defends Chris Pine’s Return In Wonder Woman:1984

After the release of Wonder Woman 1984 On Christmas Day, the film became the polarizing film of the moment has incredibly undeserved hate spewed all over Film Twitter over the film choices, and the film overall. One of the problematic parts of the film was the return of Steve Trevor.

In the film, he’s brought back to life in the body of a random stranger which ultimately rubbed folks the wrong way as the two characters have sex and without the willing participation of the body steve takes over.

With that being said, a fan tried to defend the “body swap” by suggesting that it doesn’t really matter that Diana sleeps with Steve while he’s in the body of an oblivious participant because it all gets erased when Diana takes back her wish. To Jenkins’s approval, she commented on the tweet, which followed a retweet of the fan’s defense.
