The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today announced shortlists in 10 categories for the Oscars 2022: Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject, International Feature Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film, Sound and Visual Effects. Nominations voting begins on Thursday, January 27, 2022, and concludes on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Nominations for the 94th Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. One of the shocking omissions of the list is Titane in International Feature. The film has sustained its place as one of the best of the year and its quite a surprise not to see it on the shortlist.
