The Alvarez family is back for more comedic hijinks in a brand new trailer for the third season of One Day At A Time on Netflix.
In the trailer, we meet the extended Alvarez family including Penelope’s cousins Estellita and Pilar, played by Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Melissa Fumero and Stephanie Beatriz, as well as Gloria Estefan who guest stars as Lydia’s estranged sister Mirtha. The trailer also teases a family vacation and gives us a look at Penelope’s new start with Mateo (Alex Quijano) as she moves on from Max.
One Day At A Time follows three generations of a Cuban-American family sometimes-reluctantly cohabitating and navigating the ups and downs of life. A newly-single mom and military veteran journeys through the triumphs and tribulations that come with raising two strong-willed, mega-millennial children, all the while enlisting the “help” of her old-school mother and her building manager-turned-invaluable confidante. The cast includes Justina Machado, Rita Moreno, Todd Grinnell, Stephen Toblowsky, Isabella Gomez and Marcel Ruiz.
