Old Town Road Music Video Director To Helm House Party Remake for New Line

Calmatic, who is known as the director of the music video for “Old Town Road (Remix),” is making the jump to directing music videos to the big screen.

New Line has chosen him to direct the company’s remake of its 1990 cult comedy House Party. The news was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

LeBron James is producing with his SpringHill Entertainment partner Maverick Carter. Along with Calmatic directing, Stephen Glover and Jamal Olori from FX’s Atlanta wrote the new script.
