Director James Gunn has confirmed that the sequel to 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy will not add infinity stones to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The stones are part of the MCU’s collection of six ancient all-powerful artifacts seen throughout the Marvel movies.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will add some new antiheroes though. Star-Lord will lead the guardians in taking on new gigs throughout the cosmos.
