The Secret Life of Pets

The latest release from Illumination Studios and Universal Pictures, The Secret Life of Pets is an animated adventure comedy. Directed by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me franchise) and Yarrow Cheney, Pets tells the story of Max (Louis C.K.) who lives a spoiled life with his owner, Katie. When Katie brings home another dog, Duke (Eric Stonestreet), Max’s world is turned upside down. In the midst of trying to get rid of Duke, Max and Duke get themselves caught by Animal Control. They must now form a plan of escape and enlist the help of other pets among them are Chloe (Lake Bell), Gidget (Jenny Slate), and Snowball (Kevin Hart).

In order to avoid causing trouble at their sister’s wedding, irresponsible brothers Mike (Adam DeVine) and Dave (Zac Efron) are tasked by their parents to find wedding dates that’ll keep them in check. After appearing on The Wendy Williams Show, they meet Tatiana (Aubrey Plaza) and Alice (Anna Kendrick), two wild girls who pretend to be respectable to lure them. Mike and Dave soon discover they may have met their match.

Captain Fantastic (Limited Release)

Directed by Matt Ross (Big LoveSilicon Valley), Captain Fantastic tells the story of Ben Cash (Viggo Mortensen), who after living with his six children off the grid for years, decides to reintegrate into society after the death of his wife. It also stars Missi Pyle, Steve Zahn, and Frank Langella.
