We have three choices at the movies this weekend. You can hang out with a familiar friend in Jason Bourne, some tired overworked moms, who are taking their lives back in Bad Moms, or revel as a young adult playing a popular online game (Pokemon Go anyone?) in Nerve.
In Jason Bourne, audiences revisit the film franchise, starring Matt Damon and directed by Paul Greengrass. This time, Jason is on a quest to learn about his past.
Bad Moms, starring real-life moms Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn and written by the men of The Hangover, tell the story of Amy (Kunis), a mom who despite the outside facade she gives out of a perfect life, is overworked and exhausted. She’s fed up with her stresses and decides she’s going to relax and stop caring. She teams up with other moms who feel just like her. As the story goes, they go on a wild journey of un-mom-like behavior and fun.
Nerve, based on a young adult novel of the same name, tells the story of Vee Delmonico (Emma Roberts), who decides to join the popular online game Nerve – a digital truth or dare. While playing she gets swept up in the competition and partners up with a mysterious stranger (Dave Franco). You’ll have to watch to see what happens next.
