New Joker Film in the Works with Todd Phillips, Scott Silver, and Martin Scorsese

It looks like we’re getting another Joker film. Warner Bros. has announced that a new Joker origin film will be written by The Hangover director Todd Phillips and Scott Silver and produced by Martin Scorsese. The film is set to be Joker ala Taxi Driver with a young Joker residing in Gotham City. It will be a crime movie almost reminiscent of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. It will be the first film under a new universe to tell unique stories with the characters fans know and love.

Jared Leto will not reprise his role as the Clown Prince of Crime in this film. He will, however, be seen in the sequel to Suicide Squad and the planned Harley Quinn spin-off with Margot Robbie.
