New Amsterdam & FBI Remain Solid In Week Two

New Amsterdam and FBI may be the comfort TV that audiences need because the two new series remained relatively steady in week two on NBC and CBS.

On NBC, New Amsterdam was the No. 2 scripted show (and No. 3 show overall) in primetime with a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49 and 7.47 million viewers. That’s down just 0.2 (11 percent) from its premiere last week. This Is Us (2.4, 8.77 million viewers) remained the night’s top scripted show in the 18-49 demo but fell off 20 percent from the 3.0 for its season premiere. The Voice (1.8, 9.19 million viewers) lost four tenths, or 18 percent, vs. its Tuesday premiere a week ago but was only down two tenths from its Monday airing.

On CBS, FBI posted a 1.2 in the 18-49 demo, off just a tenth (8 percent) from its debut, and led the 9 o’clock hour in viewers with 9.37 million. NCIS (1.4, 11.93 million viewers) and NCIS: New Orleans (1.0, 7.84 million viewers) both matched their premiere numbers.

On FOX, Lethal Weapon was steady at a 0.8 demo rating and 3.16 million viewers but The Gifted (0.7, 2.27 million viewers) slipped two tenths or 22 percent. The news is good for Lethal Weapon, which also saw significant gains in delayed viewing last week.

On ABC, Dancing With the Stars (0.8, 6.10 million viewers) came down a tenth from a week ago but was even with Monday’s episode.
