Netflix’s Blonde Moves To 2022

My year in advance winner for Lead Actress at the Academy Awards will have move to 2022. Variety has confirmed that Netflix’s Blonde directed by Andrew Dominik  has shifted its release date to a 2022 release.

The film has been in development since 2010, and Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain and Naomi Watts were once attached to the projec, before De Armas landed the role. Cannes Film Festival director Thierry Fremaux had stated in an interview with Deadline that he had invited the film to screen out-of-competition at this year’s festival, but Netflix declined. 

The film will star  Academy Award winner Adrien Brody, Emmy nominee Julianne Nicholson and Emmy winner Bobby Cannavale. Dominik has stated in past interviews that the film

“has very little dialogue in it,”
