Netflix Releases Viewership Numbers For You

You had a slow start when it premiered on Lifetime last fall but since Netflix acquired the series, the stalker drama has exploded on the streamer.

In the company’s quarterly earnings report, Netflix says You is on pace to be watched by 40 million member households in its first four weeks on the service. For comparison’s sake, You averaged about 1.1 million viewers (and only 611,000 in same-day ratings) during its run on cable in the fall.

You has been a social media phenomenon in the same way that their very own Bird Box has been. During the same quarterly report, Netflix revealed that Bird Box will be viewed by over 80 million member households in the first 4 weeks following its release.
