Matrix 4 is introducing a new face & trying to bring a familiar face back. It has been announced that Neil Patrick Harris has joined the sequel while Jada Pinkett Smith is in talks to return as Niobe.
Neil Patrick Harris’ role is being kept extremely under wraps at the moment. Lana Wachowski is directing & co-wrote the script with Aleksandar Hemon & David Mitchell. Keanu Reeves & Carrie-Anne Moss are returning for their respective roles as Neo & Trinity while Yahya Abdul-Mateen has also joined the cast, rumored to be playing young Morpheus.
Also in talks to return is Jada Pinkett Smith as Niobe, a role she played in The Matrix Reloaded & The Matrix Revolutions. The deal is not done yet but negotiations are ongoing. In parts 2 & 3, Niobe was the captain of the Logos hovercraft. She’s also one of the rebels in the war against the Machines & the Matrix.
