Netflix has dropped the season 2 trailer for Narcos: Mexico and it shows that star Diego Luna is running a divided empire as well as introducing Scoot McNairy’s character as a new major player.
Season two premieres more than a year after the release of Narcos: Mexico. The first season moved the long-running drama into new territory when it traveled back to 1980s Mexico to show the birth of the Guadalajara cartel and look into the origins of the Mexican drug war.
The Mexico chapter of Narcos introduced mostly new characters but the season unfolded under the guidance of an English-speaking narrator, and his identity was revealed to be newcomer McNairy in the final scene of the season and his character will play a significant role in the action for season 2.
Narcos: Mexico, season 2, begins streaming on February 13.
