Production has begun on the movie version of Stephen King’s It. Director Andy Muschietti (Mama) posted a few snaps on Instagram confirming the start of production. It will be made into two films, with the first premiering on September 8, 2017. This is the first time the classic horror novel has been made for the big screen. Previously, it was made into a TV miniseries in 1990.
Pennywise, a demon posing as a child-killing clown who torments a group of kids called “The Loser’s Club” will be played by Bill Skarsgard (Hemlock Grove). The first part will focus on the young kids (Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jeremy Ray Taylor) in the beginning of King’s story.
