20th Century Fox Picks Up Clue Reboot

There are plans to remake Clue, the 1985 comedy cult classic based on the popular Hasbro board game with 20th Century Fox picking up the rights to produce a new film.

Universal previously owned the rights in an exclusive six-year deal with Hasbro, but the reboot project was dropped back in 2011. No director has been announced as of yet, but Joshua Feldman and Ryan Jones are producing.

The original classic starring Tim Curry, Eileen Brennan, Christopher Lloyd, Madeline Kahn, and Martin Mull was a big dud for Paramount upon release, but later developed a huge cult following on home video. It also had multiple endings. Let’s see what happens next.
