Variety has exclusively confirmed that Oscar winner Meryl Streep is joining former co-star Emily Blunt and Lin Manuel-Miranda in Mary Poppins Returns. It would also reunite Streep with her Into the Woods musical team.
Streep would play Mary Poppin’s cousin, Topsy, a role that was never featured in the 1964 film. She would also sing as she did in Into the Woods and Mamma Mia.
