In what is sure to be a streaming hit for Netflix, Deadline has reported that two of the most popular shows on Netflix and CW joining forces, kind of.
Stranger Things’ Maya Hawke and Riverdale Camila Mendes have both been cast as the co-leads in Netflix’s upcoming Strangers. While not much is known about the film’s director/writer, the film’s premise does sound interesting as the film is
a subverted Hitchock-ian dark comedy featuring the scariest protagonists of all: teenage girls. It follows Drew (Alpha, it girl) and Eleanor (beta, alt girl) who, after a clandestine meet-cute, team up to go after each other’s bullies.
As popular as Stranger Things and Riverdale are, its hard to imagine this film not to be a hit in regards to views in the YA demographic.
