This week has been a rough one for Suicide Squad and director David Ayer. The film has been receiving mostly negative reviews and Ayer has taken backlash for comments he made towards Marvel during the premiere of the film. Ayer went out to introduce the film. During the introduction, someone in the audience yelled out F*** Marvel!, and Ayer seconded the comment. That set off some of the more easily agitated Marvl contention of fans, but Ayer tweeted an apology afterwards.
Sorry about getting caught up in the moment and saying f*ck Marvel. Someone said it. I echoed. Not cool. Respect for my brother filmmakers.

Marvel CCO Joe Quesada has tweeted in response to the backlash Ayer has been receiving. What are you thoughts on the recent backlash Ayer has been receiving along with Quesada’s comments?
Hey Marvel faithful I know you’re upset but cut @DavidAyerMovies a break, it was all in good fun. Can’t wait to see SS, best of luck David!
