Margot Robbie And Christina Hodson Launch Female-Driven Action Movie Writing Program

Margot Robbie and Birds of Prey screenplay writer Christina Hodson and their respective companies have teamed up to launch a female-driven script-writing program.

The Lucky Exports Pitch Program will be run by Robbie, Josey McNamara, and Tom Ackerley of LuckyChap Entertainment and Hodson and Morgan Howell of Hodson Exports.

The goal of this new initiative is to

select six women to participate in a four-week program where the will break, outline and develop their ideas into studio-ready pitches. The projects are intended to be original action features with the aim of demonstrating the participants’ ability to write action.

One of the goals of the program is to “bring the writers the exposure and experience they need in order to become go-to names for studio/franchise jobs,” according to the producers.

LuckyChap Entertainment and Hodson Exports will produce each project, the goal being to fill a drawer with scripts that can be made for $30 million or under.
