Magnum P.I. Rises On Friday For CBS As Game 3 Of The World Series Dips

CBS saw some improvement from Magnum P.I. on Friday night while Game 3 of The World Series took a bit of a dip.

On CBS, Magnum P.I. rose from its previous 0.5 demo rating to a 0.6 demo score and 5.93 million viewers. Hawaii Five-O scored a 0.7 rating in adults 18-49 and 6.55 million viewers, not only up one-tenth from its 0.6 rating a week ago, but also topping the rest of the night’s scripted outings in the demo. Blue Bloods ended their night steady week-to-week with a 0.6 demo rating and 6.85 million viewers.

On Fox, their broadcast of the third game in this year’s World Series predictably won the night, averaging a 2.6 rating and 11.74 million viewers in this morning’s preliminary ratings. That makes it, currently, the lowest-rated game of the World Series so far this year, coming in three-tenths below the preliminary ratings of the previous 2 games.

On ABC, American Housewife (0.6, 3.34 million viewers) and Fresh Off the Boat (0.5, 2.42 million viewers) both stayed even week-to-week.

On The CW, Charmed (0.2, 777,000 viewers) and Dynasty (0.1, 480,000 viewers) each matched their outings from a week ago.

On NBC, The Blacklist (0.5, 3.57 million viewers) was up a tenth week-to-week for the network.

Not much to recap for this Friday’s ratings. Everything was relatively steady or saw some upticks and Fox has to be happy it won the night with Game 3 of the World Series although stronger teams in this final race could’ve made for even better ratings.
