With the success of this year’s The Jungle Book, Disney and Jon Favreau are teaming up once again. The team will be bringing a live-action version of The Lion King to theaters. Released on the companies website,
“The Lion King builds on Disney’s success of reimagining its classics for a contemporary audience with films like Maleficent, Cinderella and The Jungle Book.”
The Lion King is considered one of the greatest Disney animated films of all time. Time will tell if the live-action version of the film will follow in its footsteps.
