Jonah Hill Passes On Role In The Batman

A couple of days after Zoe Kravitz landed the role of Selina Kyle/Catwoman, it has been announced that Jonah Hill, who was in talks to join Matt Reeves’ The Batman, has decided to pass on the project.

According to “Variety,” the reasons for passing on a role in the film are unknown as of now. When news broke about his involvement, it was very early in the negotiations so that means it wasn’t a done deal just yet. Apparently one of the points brought up during negotiations was whether Hill would play the Penguin or the Riddler, and now Reeves and Warner Bros. will have to go back to the drawing board to see which actors will take on those roles. There are also rumors he wanted more money than Robert Pattinson is getting to play Bruce Wayne/Batman and while those rumors are really making the rounds, they haven’t been substantiated at this point.

Pre-production on The Batman is expected to start this summer & the film is scheduled to hit theaters June 25, 2021
