Fans of professional wrestling are well aware of the star power of both John Cena and The Rock. Along with being two of the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling, both men have a history of working together inside the ring and past dislike for each other outside the ring. While that relationship has improved over the past few years, no one thought that the two would work again together inside the ring, let alone outside. That has changed as John Cena has been cast for the upcoming film, The Janson Directive. The film is being produced by Dwayne The Rock Johnson’s production company.
Johnson was originally attached to star in the project himself; however, as plans changed, the search began for his replacement. Johnson confirmed Cena’s involvement on Instagram.
