Joel Schumacher Apologizes For Batman & Robin

20 years have past since film that led the comic book film world and Batman to take a brief sabbatical from films was released. A film that seemed to go in the direction Batman 66‘s camp but provided us with BatNips on the costumes and terrible performances from top to bottom. To those that were hurt by the making of the film, director Joel Schumacher would like to say he’s sorry.

In a recent interview with Vice, the 77-year-old filmmaker opened up about the infamous flop and offered some words for fans.

“Look, I apologize,” Schumacher said. “I want to apologize to every fan that was disappointed because I think I owe them that.”

“My batting average was good” “And then after Batman & Robin, I was scum. It was like I had murdered a baby.”

Batman and Robin may have been a total flop but in 2017 falls under the categories of worst comic book film of all time and cult classic. Its hard to sit back and not laugh and everything revolving around this film.
